In the paperback edition, on pg. 46, the last entry in Sean's notes ("the day he died") was made on Mar 13. On pg 78, in the story about John Brooks' suicide, it says it took place on March 13, Bobby Smathers' birthday. Thinking the date could not be a coincidence, I figured it would be a clue.

Now, the problem. On pg 212, the "preliminary victimology report" says that Sean's DOD was Feb. 10, a month BEFORE his last notebook entry. John Brooks died on Oct. 30, and according to the report on the secondary victims (pg 216), Bobby Smathers was born on Aug, 15.
