Synopsis

I cannot stress this enough if you haven't read The Poet please do not read the narrows until you have.

He is back again..... Yes The Poet is back once again, the brilliant and deranged serial killer who escaped in Michael Connelly's best selling novel. Rachel Walling has been sent to Dakota as some sort of punishment, but she gets a call and heads to the Nevada Desert where 10 bodies have been found. Who else better to join her in her quest than Harry Bosch who naturally happens to find out about the investigation.

Bosch Starts to suspect that rachel has been ordered to keep an eye out for him, Rachel somehow knows that Bosch isn't telling her everything he knows about the case. Both of them are certain that The Poet is leading them into a trap.

One of Michael Connelly's strengths is his ability to have the characters of all of his books interact with each other through continuous novels and this is no different. Michael does have a little fun with this book with Ian Rankin and the Blood Work Movie but its good to see a little humor.
